"Given how long it’s taken me to reconcile my nature, I can’t figure I’d forego it on your account."

Chris Evans has been known to grab people’s left boob, so my question for both of you is have you ever had your left boob grabbed by Chris Evans? (x)

Tumblr: spreading the world apart, one group at a time.

this seriously pisses me off. like i get people who find out I’m Venezuelan and they go, oh? but you look white! So then I’m not even Venezuelan anymore, I’m a “white passing person of colour”

stop erasing my culture and ethnicity like this stop just stop

I am Spanish.

You know, from Spain.

Yeah. Again, you know… the place where apparently americans think we dress like this all day long:

I am not even shitting you; people are legitimately surprised Spanish people apparently don’t all walk around dressed like this. As a random fact, this is only ONE type of dress spanish folk use; it hails from Sevilla. As such, people in other places in spain don’t USE it. AT ALL. This dress is used for a very important feast in Sevilla, in April.

Let me show you what peeps in Valencia wear:

The girls, anyhow. The male versions of both dresses above are awesome too, but I won’t get into that.

What my VERY long winded explanation is getting at here is that cultural appreciation is a fine line and I’m starting to get really frustrated by what I see on Tumblr a lot, under the guise of being ‘considerate’ to other cultures.

Guys; news flash. You can be a white American and still come over over to Spain (OR NOT) and see the Feria of Sevilla and be absolutely enamored with it! You could come to Valencia and see our awesome Fallas (look that shit up, really, do it - you’ll love it, I bet - I’ve brought friends from abroad and they’ve loved it) and admire them!

There is, in my eyes, nothing wrong with loving another culture, or learning from it! It is much, much worse in my eyes to NOT understand it. What harm is there in someone trying to join in?

Why is it ‘wrong’ for me to learn English, just because it is nor my native language? (Or does it only go the other way around?) I would feel thrilled if the next time I go over to the USA I talk to someone that’s native there and they were to suddenly go;

"Hey! I happen to speak Spanish!"

Allowing us to continue the previous conversation in Spanish because holy shit, look at that! That’s another thing we have in common, awesome!

There is a difference between taking a bit of a culture because you like it and want to experience it…. and taking it and MOCKING IT.

IMO, if others can’t expand beyond their own culture… if they’re not allowed to experience and learn beyond that, you’re more or less promoting a whole sort of ‘you there, me here, see this line? No crossie’. The world shouldn’t work like that…

It makes me sad.

When an actor stumbles into their fandom on Tumblr:

The longer that gif went on, the more I laughed/cried.

Virtually every dog relishes a loving scratch behind the ears and some sweet, vocal praise. But dogs identified as pit bulls get a bad reputation and a lot less love.

Try not to cry as you read the full stories behind these heroic pit bulls here.

this is for all the girls who are big girls that don’t have a skinnier middle than their butt and thighs

the ones whos bellies hang over their underwear

who’s waist size is thicker than their shoulders, butt, or anywhere else on their bodies

who’s boobs are bigger than their butts, they have curvy lumps on their backs, muffin tops, chicken legs, thick arms and smaller bodies, no boobs, no butt, all middle, whatever.

you’re loved too. don’t forget that.
